Turbocharger Compressor Outlet Temp Sensor

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2EA6 (Turbocharger Compressor Outlet Temperature Sensor Circuit) covers the sensor measuring charge-air temperature right at the turbocharger compressor outlet, used to protect the intercooler and downstream plastic components from a hot-side temperature spike and to trim charge-air density calculations. The ECM flags an open, shorted, out-of-range, or implausible signal. Causes are a sensor element degraded by sustained high-boost heat, a corroded connector, or damaged wiring routed near the charge pipe.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
