Variable Valve Lift Solenoid

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0026 (Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1) sets when the ECM detects an electrical fault or an out-of-range response from the intake or exhaust valve control solenoid used for variable valve lift or cam-in-cam phasing systems. Common causes are a failed solenoid coil, oil-fouled solenoid screens, or damaged wiring at the valve cover connector.

These 16 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 16 times.
