Wastegate Position Sensor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2AB7 (Wastegate Position Sensor A Circuit) covers the dedicated position sensor that reports actual wastegate flap angle back to the ECM, separate from the boost control solenoid or actuator that moves it. The ECM flags an open, shorted, out-of-range, or learning-limit-exceeded signal on wastegate A or B. Causes are a worn sensor element from constant exhaust heat cycling, deposits shifting the wastegate's actual travel away from its learned stops, or a corroded connector at the actuator housing.

These 10 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 10 times.
