Water In Fuel System

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
P2264 (Water in Fuel Sensor A Circuit) comes from the conductivity probe in the diesel fuel filter housing that warns when separated water has collected above the sensor level, and covers both the genuine water-detected condition and faults in the sensor or warning-lamp circuit. If water is actually present, draining the separator and finding the contamination source protects the injection system from corrosion damage; if the bowl is dry, the probe's exposed electrodes commonly corrode or bridge with debris and read falsely.

These 13 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 13 times.
