Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P05DA (PCV Regulator Valve Control Circuit High) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or a performance fault while driving the electronically controlled PCV regulator valve that meters crankcase gas flow. Causes are a failed regulator solenoid coil, sludge or carbon jamming the valve plunger, or damaged control wiring between the ECM and the valve.
