SAE Standard (Generic)
Family: Upshift Skip Shift Solenoid Circuit
Code P080C: Upshift/Skip Shift Solenoid Control Circuit Low
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P080C (Upshift/Skip Shift Solenoid Control Circuit Low) sets when the TCM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or an implausible signal while driving the skip-shift (1-4 upshift) solenoid used on manual transmissions to force an early upshift for fuel economy compliance. Causes are a failed solenoid coil, a corroded connector, or damaged control wiring.
