Upshift Skip Shift Solenoid Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0803 (Upshift/Skip Shift Solenoid Control Circuit) sets when the TCM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or an implausible signal while driving the skip-shift (1-4 upshift) solenoid used on manual transmissions to force an early upshift for fuel economy compliance. Causes are a failed solenoid coil, a corroded connector, or damaged control wiring.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
