Code P0D2B: Control Pilot Indicator Control Circuit/Open

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0D2B sets when the driver circuit for the control pilot indicator lamp — the dashboard or charge-port light reflecting the pilot signal's handshake state — reads an open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage instead of the commanded state. The most common physical causes are a burned-out bulb or failed LED, a corroded or unseated connector at the indicator, and chafed wiring between the control module and the lamp. Because this indicator only reflects pilot-handshake status, a fault here affects what the driver sees rather than the charge session itself, which is governed by the separate control pilot signal circuit.
