System: Powertrain (P-Code)
SAE Standard (Generic)
Family: Catalyst PF Feedgas Performance
Code P2BA5: Particulate Filter Feedgas Performance
Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2BA5 (Particulate Filter Feedgas Performance) sets when the modeled or sensed exhaust gas composition entering the catalyst or particulate filter, known as the feedgas, does not match what the ECM expects for the current engine operating point, indicating the upstream combustion or fuel-control process feeding the aftertreatment device is off rather than the device itself. Common causes are an upstream fuel-trim or injector fault skewing exhaust composition, an exhaust leak upstream of the feedgas sensor diluting the sample, or a degraded upstream oxygen/wideband sensor.

This is the first procedure in the authored
consideration order, not a measured cause likelihood. Execute it only when its prerequisites
and diagnostic findings support it. Its cost and labor estimates (where known), the step-by-step procedure and the
remaining 2 procedure(s) are in the licensed dataset. Ordering context.
