Battery Charger Precharge Discharge Timing

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0D25 (Battery Charger System Precharge Time Too Short) sets when the onboard charger's own internal precharge/discharge network does not complete its resistor-limited precharge of the charger's DC output stage, or its controlled discharge after a charge session ends, within the time window the control module expects. Root causes are a burned-open precharge resistor or relay inside the charger housing, a marginal DC output contactor within the charger that cannot fully close, or a downstream short/leakage path on the charger's HV output loading the precharge circuit.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
