Control Module Network Authentication Fault

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
U3033 is set on secured in-vehicle networks when a control module's security certificate or authentication key is missing, corrupted, or fails a handshake with another module -- the modules can still be electrically connected and transmitting, but the network layer rejects the traffic as unverified. This is almost always a programming or provisioning issue introduced by an aftermarket module, a botched reflash, or a module swapped without the required security relearn, rather than a wiring fault.

These 3 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 3 times.
