ECM Power Input Signal

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2505 (ECM/PCM Power Input Signal) sets when the ECM's own internal monitor finds its main battery power input signal open, out of range, or intermittent, separate from the power relay control circuit that switches it. Causes are a corroded main power connector at the ECM, a blown fuse or fusible link, or chafed power-feed wiring between the battery/junction box and the module.

These 5 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 5 times.
