Code P0ABA sets when the battery management system detects an implausible reading from the pack-level voltage-sense circuit — the summed or total HV bus voltage disagrees with the sum of the individual cell-group readings by more than the allowed tolerance. The most common physical causes are a loose or corroded high-current bus-bar connection somewhere between the modules and the sense tap, a failed input on the pack-level monitoring IC, and chafed sense wiring picking up noise where it routes along the bus bar. Because this circuit cross-checks against the cell-group sums, a fault here often first appears as a voltage-sense mismatch rather than a standalone reading.
