Intake Air O2 Sensor Heater Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P2B8B (Intake Air O2 Sensor Heater Control Circuit/Open Bank 1) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, or a performance deviation while driving the heater element built into the intake-side oxygen sensor, which must reach operating temperature quickly so EGR-rate measurement is accurate soon after startup. Unlike the sensing element itself, the heater is diagnosed and repaired separately - a burnt-out heater winding, a corroded heater-circuit connector pin, or a blown heater fuse are the common causes.

These 4 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 4 times.
