Piston Cooling Oil Jet Control

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P25A9 (Piston Cooling Oil Control Circuit/Open) sets when the ECM detects an open circuit, out-of-range voltage, a stuck-on/stuck-off condition, or genuinely low oil pressure while controlling the solenoid valve that feeds the piston-cooling oil jets, which spray oil at the piston crowns under high load to prevent detonation and piston damage. Causes are a failed control solenoid, oil sludge blocking the jet gallery, or a worn oil pump unable to hold jet pressure at temperature.

These 6 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 6 times.
