Throttle Actuator Motor Circuit

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
P2100 (Throttle Actuator A Control Motor Circuit/Open) is set when the drive-by-wire throttle actuator motor's control circuit reports an open winding, a short, an out-of-range current draw, or the throttle plate's measured position that does not track the commanded motor current. Carbon and oil-vapor buildup on the throttle bore increasing motor load, a worn brush-type motor drawing excess current, and a corroded connector at the throttle body are the leading physical causes.

These 12 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 12 times.
