Throttle Actuator Control Performance

Diagnostic & Technical Explanation
Code P0510 (Closed Throttle Position Switch) sets when the electronic throttle body's actual blade position does not track the ECM's commanded position within tolerance, when the throttle input signal is missing during auto-configuration, or when a closed throttle position switch fails to confirm idle position. Typical causes are a carbon-fouled throttle bore causing binding, a worn throttle motor or position sensor, or a maladjusted/failed closed-throttle switch on older drive-by-cable-with-switch designs.

These 6 diagnostic trouble codes share one detection mechanism and one repair path, which is why MechanicDB groups them into a single authored fault family rather than repeating the same explanation 6 times.
